i was sitting on my porch this morning, thinking of jessie and how much i miss her. the little girl next door, grace, who is about four years old, was playing in the grass waiting for her mother. when she came onto the porch, grace asked, "mama, what's a shout out?" it made me miss jessie so much more. but i guess that was a shout out, of sorts, from wherever she is now.
