from one of jessie's absolute favorite instructors, dr. julie white at ohio university: "I was so very very sorry to hear about Jessica. I am not at all surprised to hear that Jessica went on to do great things. To teach middle-school involves a kind of bravery I cannot lay claim to but I was so touched that you guys still remembered our OU times together. There is so much to be celebrated about her life and so much to mourn about her death. I remember her as quietly strong in her convictions in the classroom - careful with her words, and really, really bright. More importantly she understood that there was nothing to celebrate about smarts if you didn't put them to good use in the world. While I never got to see her teach, I would have anticipated she would be a world-mover in the classroom."
