Jessica and I attended Graham High School together, and she was no doubt the most positive thing to come out of GHS for me. We bonded over an enduring misery about the place! She was keenly intelligent and kind. I miss her more than I can say. I have a book coming out this week and Jessica is listed in the acknowledgments. We spent lots of time discussing many of the issues I ended up writing about. I was really excited to give her a copy in person. I remember she was a bit taken aback when I showed her the manuscript, but she was underestimating just how influential her passion and intelligence could be. She raved about you frequently.
